Hi There! Critters Down Under featuring Scalloped Box Card by Lawn Fawn

Hello there! Here are two new cards using the cute Critters Down Under set and dies by Lawn Fawn. I have also made a card in a box using the new Scalloped Box card die by Lawn Fawn. It's so much fun to use and the creative possibilities are endless with this awesome die.

I just love all the images by Lawn Fawn and it's so wonderful they made one with Australian animals - too cute! The card design has been inspired by Nichol Spohr and you can take a look here for her fabulous video tutorial on her gorgeous card.

The Down Under Critters have been coloured in using Prisma Colour pencils and Gamsol with a paper pencil stump and it's such a great technique to get a smooth blended finish. All credits to Nichol for this fabulous technique - it's amazing to try out!

The sky background used is from Serene Scenery dsp pack by Stampin' Up! and is the perfect backdrop to complete the scene. Old Olive cardstock by Stampin' Up! is used for the grass and all the elements have been die cut using Lawn Fawn's Grassy Border die as well as the coordinating dies for the Critters Down Under.

The stitched rectangle is a die from Memory Box that I have had for a while and it just gives a lovely handmade finished look. There are a lot similar ones available in the market and Lawn Fawn has their own range.

The sentiment is from Chit Chat by Lawn Fawn and has been die cut using the coordinating Chit Chat die speech bubble. It has been white heat embossed on vellum. The little heart is also part of the Chit Chat set and has been gold heat embossed.

Here are more images of the card...

Now for the 3D version using the new Scalloped Box card die:

I just adore this new die and makes it so easy to create this fun pop up card that is just so eye catching.

Cardstock used is Crumb Cake and the striped patterened paper is a retired Going Places dsp by Stampin' Up! but you can use anything similar that you desire. The sky background and pond with the cute platypus is from the Serene Scenery dsp that were left over pieces.

I have gone with colours of the Australian bush that are rather muted and compliments the Australiana fauna.

I decided to also decorate the back and isn't just so cute with the little Koala.

I hope you have enjoyed  both these projects and have found inspiration. These cards are a delight to used and by adding custom sentiment would be perfect for the occasion. I would love to hear your thoughts and if you have any questions please send me a message or comment below.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Have a creative day! :)
